So, you had a JEEP and a Subaru. Was it enough clearance for Subaru? You know we also have Subaru and some roads are just too rough... in a rental car I wouldn't mind:)
you can drive your Subaru to Echo Canyon, Titus Canyon, Hidden Valley easily. there's enough clearance for these roads and AWD works well. the only problem is that you'll kill the tires quickly. that's why I drove my Sub to Echo canyon only and it was parked there, while we were exploring the valley on rented jeep.
