Driving habits in Brazil

We all work hard those days - I know that you're staying at work pretty late too… Is it safe to drive that late in Sao Paulo ?
A:
Well, not really… But after 10pm we don't have to stop at the traffic lights, just need to be careful when crossing (there is no fine for this) since it's very dangerous.
It's strange though… We get used to this sad reality and simply just try to be aware by looking at every side of the car to see if there is no one to suspect.
